What's the difference between "My Contacts" and "Firm-Wide Contacts"?
Nexl uses data from your email server to build your list of Contacts and Companies. When we refer to "My Contacts" and "My Companies" (versus Firm-Wide Contacts and Companies), we're talking about those Contacts and Companies with whom you've directly communicated (whether via email or meeting).
Accessing your personal Contacts
Both individual and Admin users have a section called MY CONTACTS at the very top of the left-side navigation menu. To access your personal Contacts, click the Contacts tab in the MY CONTACTS section.
Accessing company records
Navigate to the My Companies tab. This page displays all Companies you’ve interacted with.
To identify or filter Companies that are Clients:
Open the Type menu.
In the Company Type dropdown, select Client.
What is a Relationship Partner?
"Relationship Partner" is a term Nexl uses to describe the partner at a law firm who is primarily responsible for a relationship.
Different firms define Relationship Partners in different ways—sometimes it's the lawyer who first brought the client in, sometimes it's the lawyer who works with the client most, sometimes it's something else altogether! That's why the Relationship Partner for a given Company is one of the few things you have to enter manually.
How do I set a Relationship Partner for a Company?
1. Click on the Company record for the relevant Company.
2. On the left side panel, click the dropdown titled Relationship Partner.
3. Search for and select the person you want to designate as the Relationship Partner.
