Large List Views are designed to handle high-volume data efficiently, offering advanced filtering, customisation, and bulk actions without the traditional limitations of standard lists. This guide will help you understand and utilize Large List Views to their fullest potential.


1. What Are Large List Views?

  • Large List Views enable server-side processing for lists, removing the 10,000 item limit found in standard views.

  • Available for all lists on Workspaces and Apps

    • Contact Lists

    • Company Lists

    • Opportunity Lists

    • Key Activity Lists

    • Generic Lists


2. How to Use Large List Views

  1. Switch to Large List View:

    • Open your desired list and toggle the “Large List View” option.

  2. Apply Filters:

    • Use advanced filters to narrow down your data set.

    • Combine multiple filters and use AND/OR logic for complex queries.

  3. Customize Columns:

    • Add or remove columns to display the information most relevant to you.

  4. Perform Bulk Actions:

    • Select multiple items and use bulk actions for efficient list management.

  5. Export and Share:

    • Export your data as needed and share views with your team.


3. Features of Large List Views

3.1 Advanced Filtering

  • Inherits all advanced filters from Advanced Views.

  • Filter by list-level metadata and custom fields.

  • Supports complex queries using multiple filters and AND/OR logic.

  • New filter: “My Contacts = Yes/No” for contact and company lists. Other new filters added to Advanced Views will also show on Large list views

  • New filter: List member Added By is now available for all lists. Previously, this feature was only available on Contact lists.

3.2 Customization

  • Add, remove, and reorder columns to tailor your view.

  • Share views with your team.

  • Export data

3.3 Bulk Actions

  • Bulk Add to List: Add multiple items at once.

  • Bulk Edit: Update fields for multiple records simultaneously.

  • Bulk Remove: Remove multiple items from the list in one action.

3.4 Performance & Scalability

  • No 10k item limit—handle very large datasets with ease.

  • Server-side processing ensures fast filtering and sorting, even with extensive data.

3.5 Roll Up Fields Integration

  • Large List Views are integrated with Roll Up fields, allowing you to aggregate and analyze data across your lists.



5. Limitations & Future Enhancements

  • Only List Views are supported in Large List Mode (Kanban, Calendar, Timeline coming soon).

  • Two custom field types (e.g., Multi-countries, Rich Text) are not yet filterable.

  • Summary bar for Opportunities are not yet available.

  • Additional features like grouping, more custom field support, and new view types are planned for future releases.


6. FAQs

6.1 Is Large List view toggle remembered?

Yes, large list view toggles are remembered. Once a list is converted to view in Large List mode, it will remain in large list mode.

6.2 Are views created on Large list mode available when viewing in normal mode?

No, views created in large list mode is not available in legacy list mode. Toggle off Large list mode if you wish to see views created in legacy list mode. The same applies for legacy list mode as well

6.3 Why can't I filter by some columns?

Currently multi-country and rich text custom fields are not available for filtering. They will be made available for filter soon. In addition, custom field filtering on Key Activity list is not available yet.

6.4 Why can't I view some columns?

Some data is not available for viewing as column data even though they are available as filters. These are typically columns with a large number of multiple fields such as List Membership, Company Hierarchy, Known By etc.
