The new Nexl ↔ Concep integration provides a robust, flexible, and user-configurable EMS (Email Marketing System) connector. It supports syncing marketing lists and contacts from Nexl to multiple Concep accounts while enabling field-level data mapping.
🔧 Section 1: EMS Setup and Connector Configuration
1.1 Accessing the EMS Setup Page
Navigate to Admin → EMS Setup to configure email marketing integrations.
You will now see available EMS providers, including:
Concep
Brevo
1.2 Connector Creation
Choose "Add Connector" and select Concep.
Provide a Connector Name, Username, and Password corresponding to the Concep account.
You can connect multiple Concep accounts (e.g., different users under one tenant) using different credentials.
Options include:
Use Staging: Toggles between production and staging environments. If this checkbox is selected, the connector will connect to Concep staging environment
Mapping Enabled: Activates the advanced mapping interface for mapping fields while syncing lists from Nexl to Concep
1.3 Installation and Validation
Once the connector is created:
Click Install to activate.
Nexl displays connector status:
Creation timestamp
Mapping mode
Any sync errors
⚠️ Note: Errors caused by incorrect credentials or API issues will be displayed here. Always validate login credentials before raising support tickets.
📋 Section 2: List Creation & Contact Management
2.1 Creating a Marketing List
In Nexl:
Go to the Marketing List module.
Create a new list (e.g., “Concept Trial 2 - Test May 2”).
Add contacts
2.2 Supported Field Types for Mapping
Default Fields:
First Name
Last Name
Job Title
Company Name
City
State
Country
Custom Contact Fields:
User-defined fields like “Dietary Preference,” etc.
Custom List Fields:
List Custom fields like “RSVP” etc.
Any field in Nexl whether it’s a Default field or Contact Custom Field or List Custom field, it can be mapped to any field on Concep
Note: If there are no custom fields setup in Concep for a user account in Concep, then those will not be shown during mapping.
🔁 Section 3: Syncing Workflow
3.1 Initial Sync
To push a list to Concep:
Go to "Sync to E-Marketing Tools".
Select the appropriate connector.
Nexl will:
Automatically create a Group in Concep with the same list name (editable while syncing to Concep).
Sync all included contacts.
Display a timestamp of the last successful sync.
3.2 Field Mapping
Mapping screen lets you align Nexl fields to Concep fields.
Mapped fields persist even across syncs—they are not removed if omitted later.
✅ Best Practice: Always double-check your mapping before syncing, especially when reusing a connector with a different list.
3.3 Re-Syncing
Use re-sync when:
You’ve updated contacts (e.g., added names, job titles, custom fields).
You’ve added or removed users in the list.
Click “Sync Contacts” in the list’s sync panel. Changes will be reflected in Concep immediately after sync.
🔄 Section 5: Connector Management
5.1 Switching Accounts
You can delete a sync from the EMS Setup page.
Reuse the same marketing list and sync it to a different connector (e.g., trial 2 → trial 3).
The previous data in Concep remains (i.e the Group will remain trial 2 account unless manually deleted)
5.2 Sync Status Monitoring
Sync status is visible in both:
EMS Setup page
Marketing List sync interface
Includes:
Timestamp
Mapping enabled/disabled
Errors (if any)
🧪 Section 6: Workspace List Sync
You can also sync lists created in Workspace:
Add contacts and list-specific custom fields.
Sync like any other marketing list via EMS.
