What client data is used in the Nexl AI features

  • AI contact summary leverages the following data fields to synthesise the relationship with the contact: name, job title, company, industry, location, last interaction date, who knows, key activities, meetings and opportunities

  • AI company summary leverages the following data fields to synthesise the relationship with the contact: name, job title, company, industry, location, last interaction date, who knows, key activities, meetings and opportunities

  • AI stay in touch leverages last interaction date and last name to generate the personalised stay in touch message.

  • Other Nexl AI features does not use any contact or company information

Nexl AI Data Processing Policy

Nexl uses Microsoft Azure Open AI on our own private instance as the service for generating AI contact. Some important information to note regarding the use of your client data in our AI features:

  • Your client data is NOT not stored externally and not used for training. It's simply being processed on our infrastructure that run our AI models.

  • Your client data is NOT available to other customers.

  • Your client data is NOT available to OpenAI.

  • Your client data is NOT used to improve OpenAI models.

  • Your client data is NOT used to train, retrain, or improve Azure OpenAI Service foundation models that we use.

  • Your client data is processed in the same location as your host region. We have services running for EU, US, AU, Canada and Switzerland. Based on users Nexl region, users will automatically be assigned the right region for our AI services. Even if a user is travelling out of their default region, data will still will be hosted on their default region.

What options are available to opt out of AI features

As a Nexl client, you can opt out of the AI Contact and Company summary as well as the business card scanner. Stay in touch feature cannot be disabled as it doesn't use PII or sensitive data.

Where can I find out more about Microsoft Azure Open AI

The Azure OpenAI Service is operated by Microsoft as an Azure service; Microsoft hosts the OpenAI models in Microsoft’s Azure environment and the Service does NOT interact with any services operated by OpenAI (e.g. ChatGPT, or the OpenAI API).
