Introduction

Welcome back to our course on Nexl workspaces! In this session, we'll take a closer look at how you can manage your workspace team and set tasks for your team members to operationalize your workspace. Let's go!

Creating a Workspace Team

Once you've created your workspace, you can form a dedicated workspace team in just a few clicks. On the overview page, add a workspace team member by clicking on the add member link. Type the name or e-mail address of the person you're looking for and click on the add team member button.

Once you've added the new member to the workspace, this user can then view and access the workspace in the workspace menu.

As soon as you have added a new team member, Nexl will also send out an automated notification to the inbox of that user to let them know they've been added to the Workspace. In that e-mail, the user can click a button that takes them directly to the workspace. Easy!

Using Tasks within Workspaces

Now let's talk about Tasks. Nexl’s Task functionality is fully integrated into our workspaces module.

As we've seen earlier, your workspace will display your three most recent tasks at the bottom of the overview page.

But every workspace also has its own dedicated section for Tasks. When clicking through to the second tab in your Workspace, you can view and manage all pending and completed tasks related to your workspace.

From there, you can also create new tasks. In the pop-up form, you can name your task, describe it, give it a due date, and either assign it to yourself or to someone else within the workspace team. Note that you cannot assign workspace-based tasks to people that aren't part of the Workspace team.

When you create a task in a Nexl workspace, it'll automatically appear in the task manager for the person you assigned it to. In that overall list of tasks, you'll see a link to your workspace in the source column. That allows you to see where your tasks originated from, and easily jump back into a particular workspace.

Of course, you can always update or delete a task. When you mark a task as done, it will move from pending, to completed.

Using tasks allows you to keep track of the commitments of the workspace team members to drive implementation. The whole team will have a clear and up-to-date To-Do List, making them accountable and keeping your workspace on track!
