Nexl automatically tracks meetings attended and emails sent and received and marks these interactions automatically as activities.

You can also create custom activities individually to track all of your business development and marketing activities—events attended, newsletter emails received, and more!

You may have been managing activities in a spreadsheet or another platform and want to import the activities in bulk. What if you want to import those activities? Admins can now use the Nexl import feature to import custom activities in bulk!

Introduction

Feature availability

Available to Admins only

Platform

Web/Browser only

1. Go to 'Import' from admin panel and click on Activities

2. Upload your file

You can drag and drop or upload your file. File formats supported are .xlsx and .csv. Here is a spreadsheet format you can follow to import activities:

Following fields must be present in the file for activities to be imported:

Activity Title, Category (Business Development, Lead or Marketing), Contact email, Employee Email and Activity Date.

To add multiple employee or contact emails simply add multiple contact emails in the spreadsheet separated by a comma.

3. Match the column headers to template fields

4. View imported Activities

After import, the activities will be visible on the company page, contact and key actvity tracker page. If no record for the contact is found prior to import, the import will also create a new contact which can be found by searching for company name under My Contacts page.

Troubleshooting import issues

Here are some cases that can cause issues while importing key activities:

  1. Spelling errors or missing categories in the Category Field can cause issues with import. Please ensure that Category Fields are limited to Lead, Business Development and Marketing only.

  2. Spelling errors on emails can also cause issues with import.
