The form expiry feature allows users to automatically make a form inaccessible after a set date and time. Once expired, the form will show a message indicating it's no longer available.
Key Use Cases
Event Forms: Set an expiry date to automatically close submissions after the event is over.
Marketing Preference Forms: If you've updated your preferences and worry users might still use the old form link, expire the old form and redirect users to the new one via a link in the expiry message.
Campaign Deadlines: Close off submissions once the campaign ends without manual intervention.
How It Works
Under Form Settings, Enable and set an Expiry Date:
Choose a date and time—note that expiry is rounded to the next 5-minute block. So if the current time is 6:13, the soonest you can expire the form will be 6:15Form Behavior Post-Expiry:
When someone opens the expired form, it will display the Expiry Page Header and Description message. These can be edited under Form Expiry setting.
You can include a redirect link (e.g., to a newer form) in the expiry message.
Unpublishing & Publishing:
After setting the expiry or disabling expiry or changing expiry time, changes are saved in Unpublished Changes.
You must publish the form for the expiry to take effect again.
Disabling Expiry:
You can disable the expiry at any time.
Simply uncheck the expiry setting and republish the form.
Expiry vs. Waitlist Logic
If you have both Waitlist and Expiry enabled:
Expiry will take precedence.
If your intent is to use a waitlist after the event or deadline, disable expiry to ensure the waitlist functions correctly.
