Introducing Mentions and Comments
Mentions and comments are two powerful features that can help you collaborate and communicate with others on your project. In this article, we'll introduce you to these features and explain how you can use them to improve your workflow.
Features that Support Comments and Mentions
Not all features in our platform support comments and mentions. However, there are a few key areas where you can use these features to enhance your work:
You can now add and View comments and mentions on Contact/Company/Generic/Activity/Marketing lists, Key activities, Tasks and Pages
By using comments and mentions in these areas, you can easily communicate with your team members and keep track of important discussions and updates.
Commenting, Editing a Comment and Deleting a Comment
To make a comment, simply click Add a Comment from more options under a List. For Key Activities and Tasks, comments are available on the slider below Task and Activity Details.
Simply click more options on a comment to edit or delete a comment. If a comment is edited, we will indicate the comment as such. If a comment is deleted, we will show that the comment was deleted.
Rules for Notifications
When you use comments and mentions, it's important to understand who will receive notifications once you make a comment or mention someone. Here are some general rules to keep in mind:
Tasks
Creator
Requestor
Assignee
Anyone who has been @mentioned in the comment as well as was @mentioned before in the thread and as well as people who commented before
Marketing Lists
Creator
Anyone who has been @mentioned in the comment as well as was @mentioned previously in the same in the thread and users who commented before on thread
Workspace Lists
Creator
Anyone who has been @mentioned in the comment as well as was @mentioned previously in the same thread and users who commented before on thread
Key activities
Creator
Anyone who has been @mentioned in the comment as well as was @mentioned previously in the same and users who commented before on thread
Email notifications are batched to include all notifications accumulated over an hour and sent as one notification.
Who Can Be Mentioned?
The following rules exist on which users can be mentioned in a thread:
Mentions in Workspace (Lists or Pages or Tasks) : You can mention anyone that has access to the workspace. If it's a firmwide workspace, anyone from the firm can be mentioned.
Mentions in My Task : You can can only mention assignees or requestors or creators.
Mention in Marketing List : You can mention anyone that can access the Marketing List
