The Company Activity Feed helps your team quickly understand what’s happening with a company — from key actions to emails and meetings — in one place. This article explains what’s new, how to use it, and how to tailor it to your workflow.

1. What You’ll See: Activity Feed Sections

Once enabled, each company record will include three activity-focused views:

  1. Key Activities

  2. Past Emails & Meetings

  3. Upcoming Meetings

Each view shows a table of the items above:

  • You can filter by multiple columns

  • You can save your favorite filters as the default view across all companies

  • Filters are remembered per user

2. Key Activities

What it shows

The Key Activities section displays all important activities linked to the company, such as:

  • Business development, Marketing and Lead activities

  • Follow‑ups, touchpoints, or other logged activities as part of the above activities

How to filter

You can filter by any column visible in the Key Activities table (for example: type, owner, date, etc.).

Typical filters might include:

  • Activity Type (e.g., Business Development)

  • Owner / Assignee

  • Date ranges

Setting your default view

If you find yourself applying the same filters often, you can save them:

  1. Apply your desired filters in the Key Activities list.

  2. Click Set as Default View.

Your default view will:

  • Apply to all companies you open

  • Be saved just for you (other users can have their own defaults)

Example

If you set:

Type = Business Development

Then, whenever you visit any company, the Key Activities list will automatically show only business development activities.

3. Past Emails & Meetings

What it shows

The Past Emails & Meetings section shows historical communication with the company, including:

  • Emails related to the company

  • Completed meetings with company contacts

This helps you quickly understand the recent engagement history.

How to filter

You can filter this view by:

  • Type: Email or Meeting

  • Sender email

  • Receiver email

  • Other available columns (e.g., date, owner)

Saving a default view

You can set up a default view here just like in Key Activities:

  1. Apply your filters.

  2. Click Set as Default View.

This preference will persist for you across all companies.

Example

If you set:

Type = Meeting

Then on any company, the Past Emails & Meetings section will default to showing only past meetings.

4. Upcoming Meetings

What it shows

The Upcoming Meetings section displays all future meetings scheduled with the company, so you can plan ahead and see what’s next.

Filtering options

Key filters include:

  • My Meeting = True (show only meetings where you are a participant)

  • Other available columns (e.g., date, organizer, etc.)

Example

My Meeting = True

This will filter the list to only show upcoming meetings where you’re directly involved.

Default view behavior

You can make these filters your standard across all companies:

  1. Set My Meeting = True (and any other filters you like).

  2. Click Set as Default View.

From then on:

  • Any time you view Upcoming Meetings on a company, you’ll only see your upcoming meetings by default (e.g., your next meeting on Feb 25), instead of all meetings for the company.

5. Filtering & Views: How It Works Across All Sections

All three sections — Key Activities, Past Emails & Meetings, and Upcoming Meetings — share the same behavior:

  • Filter by any visible column

  • Filters are remembered when you navigate between companies

  • Default views persist per user

  • Preferences are stored separately for each section

In practice, this means:

  • The system remembers how you like to view Key Activities, even if you change filters in Past Emails & Meetings, and vice versa.

  • Your personal configuration follows you across all companies you visit.

6. Permissions & Visibility

Access to the Company Activity Feed is controlled by role-based permissions.

Required permission

To see all activity for a company, the following permission must be granted:

Contact → View Contact Activities

How this affects what you see

If you have Contact → View Contact Activities:

  • You can see all company activities.

  • You can see all past emails and meetings.

  • You can see all upcoming meetings for the company.

If you do not have this permission:

  • You will only see your own:

    • Key activities

    • Past emails and meetings

    • Upcoming meetings

If you believe you should see more than you currently do, contact your administrator to review your permissions.

9. Why This Matters: Benefits for Your Workflow

With the improved Company Activity Feed, you can:

  • Quickly see what’s been happening with a company (past and future)

  • Focus on what matters most via personalized filters and default views

  • Maintain consistent views across all companies you work with

  • Ensure appropriate visibility through role-based access control

This makes it easier to stay on top of key accounts, coordinate outreach, and avoid surprises in customer or prospect conversations.
