If you've been struggling to keep tabs on all your business development projects, we've got great news for you. We are really excited to share an important product update. We recently expanded our suite of Productivity tools and have now made a Project Management tool available to all of our users.
This is by far one of the most ambitious and interesting new features we have deployed on Nexl.
It is a consequence of our vision, where we see Nexl not just as a traditional CRM tool, i.e. a collection of contact and company records, but as a powerful revenue acceleration platform. It makes collaboration much easier for specific teams that need a shared workspace to join efforts, centralize information and monitor progress of important growth projects.
What can it do?
With our Projects feature, users can now manage complex business development projects, where they can bring together team members, lists of companies and contacts, tasks, notes and opportunities.
Our Projects tool is a dedicated platform from where you can stay on top of your most important growth initiatives. You can use it to:
Manage your existing key clients better through Strategic Account Management
Develop and manage new growth initiatives and better organize your Prospecting
Deploy Account-Based Marketing strategies and go after your most valuable targets in an organized and structured way.
How does it work?
You simply go into Nexl’s Projects section (under Productivity) to create a new Project.
When creating a new Project, there are a couple of question you may want to consider beforehand, such as:
What do you want to achieve with the Project? Think about concrete output and deliverables.
Who will participate and should have access to the Project? Who is responsible for what? You will be able to add and remove people from projects as you go along.
What information do you want to track in the Project? What type of additional fields will you need to manage this project?
How frequently will you go in and review progress made?
When will your projects end?
In your Project you can combine tasks, notes, team members and opportunities, but there is also a powerful new way to create and use lists of companies and contacts.
In the Project tool, you can add custom fields to your lists that will allow you to track specific information related to your project. We support all kinds of fields such as date fields, numbers, open text fields, multi-select fields, etc. In addition, you can create columns for every field that we have by default on companies and contacts in Nexl. You can decide which one you want to see in your Project lists.
What kind of initiatives can I manage on Projects?
Our Projects feature is incredibly versatile and will work for many different kind of growth projects. Example of use cases you can think of include:
Expansion of your Firm into a particular industry sector
A growth initiative of a particular practice group
A cross-practice BD project for very large accounts with multiple subsidiaries
Participation to an important network event, especially when there is a delegation attending
