NEXL automatically tracks all your firm's contacts based on email and calendar activities and then uses data enrichment to add additional information to your company and contact records. Our data enrichment is very powerful but it won't be able to enrich 100% of your companies and contacts you are in touch with.
To make it as easy as possible to keep your contacts and company records complete and up to date, we have created a Data Cleaner function.
We sort the list by amount of interactions which should show the most important company records at the top. The list is basically your company cleaning to-do list.
The Data Cleaner can be used to clean up both COMPANIES and CONTACTS. You can switch between these two views by using the buttons in the top right corner of the screen.
CLEANING COMPANY RECORDS
For COMPANIES, we distinguish between two types of cleaning actions. The first one is to (i) add details for companies that are considered "incomplete", and (ii) add details for companies that are considered "not classified".
1) Cleaning COMPANY records that are INCOMPLETE
A company record is incomplete if either the Company Name, Country or Industry is missing from the company record.
To add missing company details, click on edit next to the company record, add missing fields and click save. Once missing fields are added, the company record will automatically disappear from the "Incomplete" list.
2) Cleaning COMPANY records that are NOT CLASSIFIED
A company record is not classified if it has not yet been assigned a Company Type.
The Company type describes the purpose of the company for the Firm. We have various types, including Client, Prospect, Referral Source, Provider, Court / Tribunal, Counterpart, etc. The Company type is crucial for segmenting all the companies on the system.
By simply updating the Dropdown field, the Company will be removed from the list.
CLEANING CONTACT RECORDS
A contact record is incomplete if either the First name, Last name, Job title or Country is missing from the contact record.
You can either Edit or Delete Incomplete Contact records. To add any missing details, click on "edit" next to the contact record, add missing fields and click save. Once missing fields are added, the contact record will disappear from our incomplete list.
We recommend checking your incomplete records at least once a week. Try to keep the incomplete company and contact lists empty, or at least deal with the most important companies and contacts.
